My name is Colin and I am 42 years old.
In March of 2019, a week before my 41st birthday I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after being examined in the emergency ward of Olivedale Clinic.
I went in due to headache that had my lips go numb, and had the left side of my face tingling. After doing an MRI scan I was told I had suffered a mild stroke, however, the neurologist requested a secondary MRI to investigate further. After the second MRI I was admitted into the hospital and advised that there were lesions on my brain that could be a symptom of MS. The next day the neurologist ordered a lumbar puncture and the results from the fluids on my spine and brain confirmed the diagnosis. I was put on a series of medications and after about 7 days I was discharged and having the feeling on the left side of my body gradually returning after weeks.
Exactly 2 months after my being admitted I woke up one morning with vertigo and was rushed back to the hospital. We called the neurologist and i was admitted immediately and treated again with Cortisone and another MRI was done confirming that a new lesion was visible on the brain and i was not able to balance or walk.
After about 7 days in hospital and seeing a Physiotherapist to help me walk again I was discharged with medication and a walker to assist my walking and balance. I was also able to go onto a chronic benefit with my doctor’s help and start taking a chronic drug called Plegridy.
I have been using Plegridy since June 2019, however, while i was applying with my medical aid for the approval of the Plegridy I was referred to Zayed to inquire about the use of the CBD oils to see if this might help in case I am not able to get onto the chronic medication. After my meeting with Zayed, he recommeneded that I take Neurorep to repair the brain cells and deal with the lesions as well as Cannacap to clean the blood and remove any inflammation. I took the Plegridy injection every two weeks, and took the CBD oils everyday for a year and there has been no relapses or any new symptoms that has occurred. That means the Plegridy was working as the Plegridy is supposed to prevent frequent relapses and prevent new lesions forming on the brain.
In June 2020 I had an annual visit with my Neurologist and a MRI done as well to see if there is was any progress made. In my consultation, my doctor was very pleased with the result of my MRI advised me that:
1: There are no new lesions visible
2: The lesions that were there had reduced in size.
This is absolutely wonderful news and completely unexpected. We have been told that there is no cure for MS and that the disease can only be slowed down by the chronic injection taken, to find out that the lesions have reduced in size could only mean that the CBD oil was in fact repairing my brain cells, and reducing the inflammation in my blood.
I am still continuing with both the chronic medication as well as the CBD oil and look forward to seeing if the the lesions reduce in size even more after I do do my scan in 2021.
